On my way to the Norberg festival which is the biggest festival for electronic music in Sweden. I am performing some Noda3 stuff together with my friend Sven Rånlund at the Geiger showcase on Saturday.

Sound Art in City Spaces Porto

I was recently in Porto, Portugal teaching in the European workshop Sound Art in City Spaces. Was very inspiring and fun. Students from 5 different cities in Europe and different academic and art disciplines worked in teams to create sound installations and performances in 4 public spaces in Porto. Next spring it will happen in Vilnius, Lithuania. I am already looking forward to it.

Sound installation in pedestrian tunnel & IMPROVe installation

Together with Helena Persson and a group of pupils from Västerskolan in Uddevalla I had a public sound installation in a pedestrian tunnel in Uddevalla during the festival Musik Direkt May 13 – 15. The sound in the tunnel was a soundscape composition of watersounds that the pupils recorded during the spring.

I also had an installation with the IMPROVe sound player controlled by gamepads. With this the visitors could play with the water sounds from the tunnel.

Sound workshops

I have had a lot of sound workshops the last few weeks. Been to different schools around Falkenberg and Uddevalla south and north of Gothenburg. Been successful and I will now use the sounds recorded during these workshops for concerts with my band Trapped in a loop at the same schools this week.

Soundwalk at Vetenskapsfestivalen

I had a public soundwalk today at Vetenskapskapsfestivalen (The International Science Festival Gothenburg). Started out with a 20 minutes walk around different areas in the city centre of Gothenburg followed by a discussion about sounds in the city, cityplanning, history etc. About 10 persons joined and I was happily surprised over the depth of the discussion.

Was in Uddevalla yesterday and met the group of young people that Helena Persson and I are working with during this spring. The group is collecting sounds that will play in a sound installation in a pedestrian tunnel in Uddevalla during the Musik Direkt festival May 12-16. Working name for the installation is Ljudtub which means sound tube. More info to come.

I was recently at my first board meeting at Galleri 54 in Gothenburg where i am a new board member. Galleri 54 is an artist-run gallery which has been around since 1954.

I am at Pixelache Helsinki festiv al with C:Art:Media from Gothenburg. Some of the students at C:Art:Media are exhibiting works at Camp Pixelache. As you can see we were building today.
